MUSTARD SEED
JERSEY PRAYER UPDATE SEPTEMBER 30th 2016
LOCAL
LOADING SAGA
– finally this ongoing saga of uncertainty seems to have resolved and we expect
to ship our first humanitarian aid consignment using containers and
transhipping on October 15th with expected arrival in Romania around
20th. It is really only after that first aid consignment has been
delivered that we can make a judgement on whether this new system is working.
WE THANK GOD
for the amazing favour and help different people have given us in Jersey and St
Malo in this matter. We do thank God for people who
have given us advice and help which means we are now finally ready to roll!
Please pray
God blesses the 2 landlords who have let us park containers on their properties.
Also pray God’s blessing on the French company Morvan-Fils
who are helping us a great deal.
CHRISTMAS
SHOEBOXES
– we are just starting off this year’s Christmas appeal. Please pray members of
the public will respond, so we can meet needs and ease suffering of some of the
poorest of the poor in Bihor county of Romania.
HELPERS – we
have some very committed regular shoebox helpers. Some have health problems.
Please remember Gerald in your prayers.
Please
pray God provides the helpers we need (both for the shoebox appeal and for general
packing of relief aid throughout the year), when we need them and that their involvement will prove to be a real blessing to
them.
ROMANIA
Mustard Seed
Romania: Our friend
ALEX STROIE had an accident in September, which has resulted in his losing 3
toes. What has struck me most is that he is so grateful to God for the fact
that the accident was not any worse, also that someone came along to help very
quickly and that nobody else was seriously injured. He faces difficult rehabilitation
to help him walk satisfactorily, so please uphold him in prayer and pray for
all the family, his wife Rody, daughters Rebekah and Raya and son Abiel.
Inevitably this
will mean Sergio and Violeta will have more to do, so
please uphold them also in prayer.
Agape: Corey &
Diana who head up the Agape charity will be heading off to USA for a number of
months to raise funds to continue their ministry to young
Romanian orphans. Pray for God’s favour on them as they travel and on the
various social workers who will continue their work while Corey & Diana are
away.
Vineyard: Ken Holmes (now back in UK after 20 years in
Romania) had a knee replacement in late August, after which there were a number
of complications. Please pray for healing and good rehabilitation.
Please
continue to bless Mustard Seed Jersey and our Romanian beneficiaries with your
prayers.
Yours in
Christ
Rose Helie
