SEED JERSEY PRAYER UPDATE OCTOBER 2017
In Jersey we are getting ready for the busiest
time of our year with the Christmas shoebox appeal and all that that involves.
Pray various logistical problems will sort out. Pray for strength & energy
that we will need.
Each year we struggle to have enough Christmas
shoeboxes for the 12-16 age range. This year we have been asked for a large
number of boxes for this age group – please pray we receive enough boxes to
meet the need.
ROMANIA PRAYER POINTERS:
MUSTARD SEED ROMANIA (MSR):
Alex Stroie has asked that we will pray that the applications
for change of use for the Casa Mabel site will go ahead speedily and
successfully and that there will be sufficient bookings this summer to make it
successful so that with the profits more non-paying children and young people
can benefit.
VINEYARD:
Ken and Florence (retired pastors) will be returning to
Romania for several weeks in October/November. Pray for them as they travel and
that they will blessed by their time in Romania and that they will be a source
of blessing to those they meet.
KATHY LANGSTON OUTREACHES:
Now Kathy has left Romania and returned to Canada, the
running of the various outreaches is being done by others. For a number of years,
special Christmas shoeboxes have been packed for a number of orphaned children
& young people who have special needs. Please pray for better communication
with those now liaising with us especially on this project.
MORE JERSEY PRAYER POINTERS:
This year’s
Christmas appeal focusses on 3 areas of need in Romania: the shoeboxes, money to purchase food including bread and money to
provide winter fuel. Please pray for a spirit of generosity.
Groups from
St Pauls Church and Beaulieu Convent School plan to visit Romania to assist
with the Christmas distributions. Both groups are working hard to raise funds
to ease suffering – pray God’s blessing on those endeavours.
Last month
I asked for prayers that there would be sufficient collectors – now we appear
to have enough including a number of new volunteers.
Please pray
for WISDOM for us as we receive various requests for help, that we will discern
where the greatest need is and follow God’s leading.
We really do believe that PRAYER CHANGES THINGS, and that many
blessings are directly linked to prayer. Please continue to bless us with your
prayers ~ both us in Jersey and those on the “cutting edge” in Romania, who
often benefit as a result of what happens in Jersey.
