MUSTARD SEED JERSEY PRAYER UPDATE DECEMBER 2013
Aid Trip and Pointers for Prayer for Mustard Seed
in Jersey:
Our aid trailer is due to go out to Romania with
12+ tonnes of aid on November 30th. Volunteer drivers IAN LE BRUN
and CHRIS BISSON should arrive in St Malo on the
evening of Sunday 30th to begin the 3000 mile round trip. We expect
them to arrive in Romania on Tuesday evening (3rd) / Wednesday
morning (4th). They should be back in Jersey on Saturday 7th.
This aid consignment contains the Christmas shoeboxes and many blankets as well
as other aid.
Please pray for SAFETY and PROTECTION as they
travel.
We give thanks for a very successful trip in October with Jonathan and
Richie
Going to Romania:
ROSE (that’s me) travelling to Romania on Dec 2nd
till 16th
The team from BEAULIEU CONVENT SCHOOL travel to
Romania on Dec 10th returning to Jersey on 14th.
Please pray for the 6 students – ABBIE, BEA, EMILY,
EVIE, FRANCESCA & HATTIE and for the 2 staff
members MARTA & KIRSTY. Pray they will all be channels of God’s love and
encouragement to those they meet with.
WISDOM – we ask you to pray God will give us wisdom
as we have to make decisions about the right use of limited resources, which
inevitably means saying No to some worthy requests and needy people.
In the last prayer update, there were a number of
prayer requests for various local helpers and I believe that all those prayers
have been answered, so we thank you for your prayers.
Our Christmas trailer has eventually got loaded and
the paperwork sorted out, but it has been a real struggle!
We continue to ask for your prayers for various of our volunteers and supporters with health
problems: Bernie, Barrie, Carolyn,
Carol, David, Wendy and others who need God’s healing touch.
Pointers for prayer in Romania:
In Romania our older trailer (which was used for the October trip) has
remained in Romania and has now been turned into accommodation for the
homeless. With Nelu, we give thanks for the kindness
of some Romanian businesses who gave windows and doors which have now been
fitted into the trailer.
Please pray for those homeless families who have
approached NELU (of the FI charity) asking for help with accommodation.
Give thanks for NELU and CRISTINA and their wisdom
and compassion, pray God will strengthen them.
COLDER WEATHER – as the weather gets colder in
Romania the poorest of the poor struggle more to provide food and heating. Pray
for all the social workers as this can be a tough time for them, seeing the
need but often without the resources to offer the help that is needed.
Please continue to bless us with your prayer
support ~
